Vision of the Grapes

The path stretches out into the distance curving sharply to the left and back to the
right. There's a deep drop off on my left, and below is a great sea. On my right the
trees and clearings precede mountainous cliff walls. The sunshine is warm, the breeze
is cool, and the path feels good under my bare feet. I know that blessings are all around
me, but I'm tired and need strength to appreciate them, because walking the path and
experiencing them takes a lot of energy both physically and emotionally.

An intoxicating aroma begins to get my attention. The Lord is ahead, beckoning me.
He leads me to an orchard off to the right. Fruit like giant grapes hang from trees.
I see reflections as I look closely at one. The Lord tells me the reflections are the
contents of one day and tells me to eat the fruit. As I bite into it, refreshment bursts
from the grape and spreads through my whole body. There is an icy, wonderful taste,
and as it reaches my brain, revelation surrounds my head in a soft white rain.

"So the fruit opens my eyes to what's already happening," I say.

"More," he answers. "The awakening lifts you to eternity where the tiredness of this world
cannot follow." He tells me that each fruit holds one day's time but all of eternity.

The orchard is available to all who will take this path.
