Dear Mary,
Today, when I was preparing another letter for you, I receive your letter.
Yesterday, I have thought that maybe you have some troubles in life.
This reminds me my mother, she has no God in her heart but her family, she is also 59 years old.
I think God must guard her and wipe her tears from her face though I left her.
I also believe God will wipe your tears in heart. I believe all we
suffer are beneficial, for he shows himself to us in hard time and
makes us set our heart on the things above more than on the worldly
things, for we are mere foreigners and aliens in this world not host.
I thank God that you really strong in heart.
God's grace is very unsearchable. Within this year, many disasters
happened in our country. There are several serious earthquakes in
YUNNAN province in the southwest China. That place is just one of the
most evil places in China, full of prostitutes, dopers and homosexuals. I
believe this is God's wrath. God is righteous and just, he know what
has happened in the world now. It is just like the scene Lot saw in
the plain of the Jordan (Gen 13:10) "Lot looked up and saw that the
whole plain of the Jordan was will watered, like the garden of the
LORD, like the Land of Egypt, toward Zoar. (This was before the LORD
destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.)"
Modern China is filled with lies and wicked things. (I really do not
want to judge anything, esp my homeland, but the fact is it.) I heard
of some foreigners have protested Chinese government's autocracy in
Christianity recently. Chinese government lies plainly that there is
full freedom in belief, for it is citizen's right. But many of my
friends have been put into prison only because they left home to
proclaim the truth that denying oneself to love God.
In China, it is
hardly to believe news. For the correspondents who want to report the
real situation in this country are all persecuted. Until nowadays,
there are lots and lots of Chinese people even do not know the
Government has killed many people in 1989, Tiananmen square, for TV,
Radio and Press are all controled by them, they only permit the liars
to live in this society comfortably. Some of my friends died
in that catastrophe. People in Beijing who lost relatives and friends
at that time still are patient in their pain. It is a generation which
confounds right and wrong. So, people here all believe that it is
really that the end of the world will come soon. (Christianity,
Buddhism, qigong, and many kinds of witchcraft and prophecies in the
history are all knowing and warning people that the end is coming.)
A deep concern is in my heart, "to prepare the way of the Lord in the
wilderness".
May be this is just why many people here rather deny all
the comfort lives in the world to become holy and righteous and poor
than enjoy the joy of sins to wait for death.
There is a Chinese poem written by LUXON, a very famous writer in the early 20th century, said:
I think, in such a silence, God has hidden many and many mysteries in the
more and more natural and man-made calamities, though many people
satisfy their rich material life.
