Dear Mary,
Your letter is very candid and you are so sincere. Thanks be to God.
After I graduated from university and became a psychiatrist, God sent me to spread his wonderful word and unfailing love, so now I am an evangelist.
I abandoned my parents, friends and all the worldly things; lead a life that only depends on faith to God. God is faithful, in his household, I lack nothing in living. "Sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything." These words are true.
So, you know, I have no family in the world but God's household. I am 27, a Chinese, living
now In China, have never been to America. Maybe it will astonish you.
In fact, I do not want to tell you all the things for some reasons, but I think I cannot conceal anything to you, for I know you love God and "everyone who loves the father loves his child as well". Many white people discriminate against colored races. I fear, for this reason, the massage of God cannot be accepted. You are a person who experienced so many afflictions, and must understand that in God's eyes, what counts is not one's appearance but his heart.
The word I proclaim is difficult, so most people cannot accept them, both Chinese and American.
Some always say that they believe God, but have no any good deed in their daily living worthy of the precious calling. If one does not live a pious life as the Lord, can he be called God's son? But to practice God's word is too difficult, for in this world, people pursue their own wills and desires to fulfill their own joy.
From the
Ancient time, Abraham was called righteous only because he followed God's will without any thought of his own. It is difficult to imagine that if the trail of offering the son comes to us, can the worldly Christians still listen to God's word and face the test with strong faith? But, Abraham's God is the same one of us!! The God, who led the Israelites out of Egypt, is just ours!! The God who enlightened Paul is the just one blesses us!! In this generation, no one is aware of this.
Almost all the Christians regard the Old Testament as stories, and despise Jesus who cleans the filth by his life as a reasonable sacrifice. Their belief is not a belief. Such people who pursue the vainglory, love the worldly blessings only and have no real hope for the deity are not God's children.
To represent God on earth and testify to Him is difficult, because man instinctually sin and the world is ruled under the devil who tries his best to separate God's children from their father. The only way to follow the Lord is walking along the way of cross and force oneself to submit to God's will as Paul.
If one is spiritual or not depends on who is he in the world but not his heavenly values of
submission to God, the criterion belongs to the world but not God.
The word is living water, the Lord is living Lord. To gain Christ then we gain everything, but to lose him, we lose all.
Even to do things well is not easy on earth, how hard it will be to enter God's kingdom? Can it
be easier than preparing for a meal?
Mary, I know you are close with God in your prayer. I believe that you can judge these words
yes or no by the help of God in prayer. I am sure that God will lead us into his truth, for we are his children. The reason for me to send email to foreigners is that the situation of the faith all over the world is not good, for this, the Lord may be sorrow. When I see this, I feel those who live in themselves and for the worldly blessings are pity. Only the word can consecrate us, but no one pursues it and distinguishes which one is right.
Mary, would you like to think about this letter in your prayer? The spiritual struggle will be serious, but I believe God can do all the things for us.
